Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Jabalpur
Arrive Jabalpur, Pleasure resort and capital of the Gond Kings during the 12th century, Jabalpur was later the seat of the Kalchuri dynasty. Afternoon visit the Marble Rocks at Bhedaghat which rise to a hundred feet on either side of the Narmada, overnight at the hotel
Day 2 Jabalpur – Bandhavgarh (164 kms / 3-4 hrs)
Transfer by road to Bandhavgarh, which was known as Shikargah, or game preserve, of the Maharajahs of Rewa and now one of India’s best National Parks famous for Tiger and other wildlife species. Rest of the day at leisure, overnight at the hotel
Day 3 Bandhavgarh
Early morning and evening enjoy a game drive in the Bandhavgarh National Park, you will have an opportunity to see tiger and other wildlife species. The great Gaur, or Indian Bison, can be seen with ease, overnight at the hotel
Day 4 Bandhavgarh – Khajuraho (237 kms/5–6 hrs)
This morning drive to Khajuraho, The capital of the Chandela Kings, Khajuraho is famous for its magnificent temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and the Jain Tirthankaras. Evening witness a sound & light show at the famous Khajuraho temples, overnight at the hotel
Day 5 Khajuraho
Visit the World famous Khajuraho temples built by Chandela Kings in the mid-10th and 11th centuries known for its stone carvings and best example of Temple architecture in India. After noon visit to Ranhe water falls, A beautiful picnic spot famous for its granite rock formations. Overnight at the hotel
Day 6 Khajuraho – Gwalior (375 kms/8-9 hrs)
Early this morning you will drive to Gwalior, enroute you will stop to visit Datia known for its 7 storied palace of Raja Bir Singh Deo & Gopeshwar Temple and Orcha, the most powerful kingdoms of Central India, in the 16th cent. Proceed to your hotel and rest of the day is at leisure, overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 Gwalior
Morning proceed for a sightseeing tour of Gwalior, visit the mighty Gwalior Fort, lastly visit the Jai Vilas Palace and museum. Rest of the day at leisure for shopping and individual activities, overnight at the hotel
Day 8 Depart Gwalior
Transfer to airport/railway station for your onward journey back home
