DAY 1: Arrive into Rome - The Eternal City
Welcome to Rome, the Italian capital where we begin our Premium ‘European Trio’ Tour. Check into your hotel on your own, anytime after 1500hrs.The rest of the evening is free to relax or explore this vibrant city on your own. Overnight at your hotel in Rome.
DAY 2: Vatican Museum with Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Cathedral Guided City Tour of Rome
After a continental breakfast, we take you to the world renowned Vatican museum with Sistine Chapel. Do not miss the beautiful ceiling and also “The Last Judgement” painted on the altar by the renowned artist Michelangelo. Visit St. Peter’s Basilica, the world’s largest Cathedral, which will amaze you with its size, beauty and splendour. Later on your Guided City tour of Rome see Piazza Venezia, see the colossal Victor Emmanuel II Monument, built to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Italian reunification. We visit the famous Trevi Fountain - a roman legend assures your return to Rome if you throw a coin over your left shoulder into the fountain. We then come face to face of the gigantic Colosseum - symbol of Rome from outside. Overnight at your hotel in Rome.
DAY 3: Visit to a Winery Orientation Tour of Pisa Piazalle Michelangelo in Florence
After a continental breakfast, we check out and drive towards Pisa. En-route we visit a Winery in the Tuscany region. Later, we drive to Pisa. On arrival, visit the “Field of Miracles”, wherein stands the grand Romanesque Pisan styled marble Cathedral. See the Baptistery and the bell tower, known throughout the world as the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Remember to take a photograph of your family against this wonder of the world. We then journey towards enchanting Florence, the art capital of Italy. Take a breathtaking panorama view of Florence from the Piazalle Michelangelo. See the impressive Duomo, the imposing 14th century Palazzo Vecchio Tower and Ponte Vecchio, Florence’s most distinctive bridge on the Arno River. Overnight at your hotel in Florence.
DAY 4: Guided Tour of Ferrari Museum Onto Venice Orientation Tour of Venice
After a continental breakfast, we check-out and proceed to Maranello to visit the Ferrari Museum. On our guided tour of the Museum, you will be greeted by the beautiful F1, GT and sport cars that made history which will relive the great competitions of the past. See the technological innovations, some of which had made the transition from racing cars to road cars. Also view the prizes, photographs and other historical objects relating to the Italian motor racing industry. Later, we proceed to Venice, the romantic Italian city, known for its unique architecture. We arrive in Venice, an archipelago of 118 islands, 170 canals & 400 bridges. We drive over Mussolini’s Bridge of Liberty and then take a boat ride over the Guidecca canal to St. Mark’s Square, the very heart of Venice. Here see the historic Ducal Palace, the infamous prison, the Bridge of Sighs, the exquisite Clock Tower and the splendour of St. Mark’s Basilica. Visit the Murano Glass factory where a master craftsman will demonstrate the art of creating the famous Venetian blown glass. Do not miss this opportunity to buy souvenirs at discounted prices. We return to St. Mark’s Square, the most photographed Square in the world and soak in the unique atmosphere of this charming city. Overnight at your hotel in Venice/Padova.
DAY 5: Onto Milan Orientation Tour of Milan Onto Swizerland
After a continental breakfast, we check out of the hotel and proceed to Milan - Italy’s second biggest city and one of the world’s capital for design and fashion. Visit Piazza del Duomo while taking a look at the stunning splendor of Milan Cathedral- Italy’s largest gothic structure. Marvel at the stylish beauty of the Victor Emmanuel II gallery as you walk through it. Take a look at La Scala, Milan’s pride and one of Europe’s most prestigious Opera Houses and the Statue of Leonardo da Vinci besides it. We then continue our journey to Switzerland - a country known for its spectacular mountain scenery, sparkling lakes and folklore traditions. Enjoy the journey as the scenery changes from the Italian to the Swiss Alps.On arrival, we check in to the hotel. Overnight at your hotel in Switzerland.
DAY 6: Day Free Suggested Excursion: Jungfraujoch and Interlaken
After a continental breakfast, the day is free to relax in the hotel OR we suggest a visit to Jungfraujoch and picturesque Interlaken. Our scenic drive to Lauterbrunnen, from where we board a train to Jungfraujoch the highest altitude railway station in Europe at 11,333 ft. takes us along lovely lakes and mountain passes. Marvel at the changes in alpine scenery as your charming cogwheel train takes you on a unique journey to Jungfraujoch, the very Top of Europe. On top of Jungfraujoch, you have free time to explore the modern complex. Experience the magic of the mountains at the Sphinx Terrace. See the breathtaking Jungfrau Peak and the awesome Aletsch Glacier. Also, visit the Ice Palace, where you see a beautiful display of sculptures made of ice, while being encased in ice yourself. Send a postcard to your friends and relatives from Europe’s highest altitude Post office with its own special postmark. We then serve you an Indian vegetarian lunch at the Top of Europe. Thereafter we proceed to Interlaken, one of Switzerland’s best known health and pleasure resorts. There’s time to relax at the many cafes or shop for Swiss watches, chocolates, Swiss memorabilia, etc. Overnight at your hotel in Switzerland.
DAY 7: Day Free Suggested Excursion: Mt Titlis with Ice-Flyer Ride and Lucerne
After a continental breakfast, the day is free to relax in the hotel OR we suggest an exciting full day excursion to Mt. Titlis and Lucerne. We begin the tour with a visit to Mt. Titlis, which at 10,000 ft is the highest peak in central Switzerland. As you journey to Mt. Titlis through a series of three different cable car rides, you will be amazed as the scenery changes from green meadows, scenic lakes to snow clad mountains. The last leg of the ascent will be in the world’s first rotating cable car called the ‘Titlis Rotair’. At Mt. Titlis you have free time to play and enjoy in the snow, visit the Ice Cave or just relax at the restaurant. Weather permitting, you could take an unforgettable ride on the “Ice- Flyer” an enclosed ski lift that travels only a few meters over the Titlis Glacier. Enjoy an Indian vegetarian lunch. We later proceed for an orientation tour of Lucerne. See the Lion Monument, ‘Lowendenkmal’ hewn from a limestone cliff to commemorate the bravery and loyalty of Swiss Guards. You have free time at Schwanenplatz to shop for Swiss army knives, chocolates, watches, souvenirs, etc. Overnight at your hotel in Switzerland.
DAY 8: Orientation Tour of Zurich Visit Vaduz Orientation Tour of Innsbruck Tyrolean Folklore Show
After a continental breakfast, we check-out and proceed on an orientation tour of Zurich - Switzerland’s largest city and financial centre. See the St. Peter’s Church with the largest clock face in Europe and the famous churches of Fraumunster, known for its beautiful stained glass windows created by Marc Chagall and Grossmunster with its twin Romanesque towers. Next, proceed to Vaduz, the capital of the principality of Liechtenstein, very popular with tourist from all over the world for its view of the majestic Castle of Vaduz and cozy street cafes. Later, we drive towards to Innsbruck, strategically situated on the Inn River, in the heart of the Austrian Alps. On arrival, we take you on an orientation tour of Innsbruck. See the ‘Goldenes Dachl’ - the Golden roof, an ornate Gothic balcony and a symbol of the city. Also see the 17th Century fountain with the equestrian statue of King Leopold V and the Heiblinghaus, a building resembling a wedding cake. In the evening, we take you for a Tyrolean Folklore Show. You’ll enjoy everything from authentic folk music and accompanying instruments to Tyrolean dancing, “shoe slapping,” songs and yodeling-all in traditional dress. Overnight at your hotel in Innsbruck.
DAY 9: Visit Swarovski Crystal World Visit Kehlsteinhaus - Eagle’s Nest Visit to a Salt Mine
After a continental breakfast, we check-out and proceed to Wattens to visit the amazing Swarovski Crystal World. Next we visit Eagle’s Nest - Hitler’s Retreat. We then continue our journey towards Salzburg. En-route, we visit a Salt mine. You also get to know about mining history and techniques - after all salt is an indispensable part of our lives. Overnight at your hotel in Salzburg.
DAY 10: Guided Walking Tour of Salzburg Onto Vienna
After a continental breakfast, we check-out and proceed on a guided walking city tour of Salzburg. See the birthplace of the legendary Mozart, the Mirabell Palace with its landscaped gardens and the Cathedral in the old town. Stroll along the Aldstadt, which was recently granted World Heritage Status by UNESCO. Later we proceed to Vienna - the Austrian capital. Check into your hotel on arrival. Overnight at your hotel in Vienna.
DAY 11: Visit to Schonbrunn Palace Guided City Tour of Vienna Visit Prater Park
After a continental breakfast, we visit the Schönbrunn Palace which was not only an imperial residence and the setting for countless festivities, but also a place where famous artists and craftsmen from many different epochs created interiors of great beauty. Later, proceed on a guided city tour of Vienna. On your guided city tour, we drive on the Ring Boulevard and see the State Opera House, the Parliament, the City Hall and the Burgtheater. We also make a photostop at the Hofburgformer winter residence of the Habsburg family and the Belvedere Palace-former summer residence of Prince Eugene. Also see the Hundertwasserhaus, an apartment house designed by Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. It features undulating floors (“an uneven floor is a melody to the feet”), a roof covered with earth and grass, and large trees growing from inside the rooms, with limbs extending from windows. We then take you to visit the Prater, Vienna’s most popular fun park. Take a ride (on your own) on the Riesenrad (Giant Ferris Wheel) and enjoy a great view over Vienna. The Riesenrad was erected in 1897 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I. The wheel itself spans 200 feet (about 60 m.) and has 15 cabins. Also enjoy (on your own) many different activities inside this fun-filled park. Overnight at your hotel in Vienna.
DAY 12: Return Home with Wonderful Memories
After a continental breakfast, Your ‘European Trio’ holiday ends as you check out of the hotel in Vienna. Its time to say goodbye to all the new friends you have made.
